About

For starters, I don’t love the word cheap…the sound, the connotation, the way it looks written out, all of it. But most of all, I hate when people use it to describe someone like me.  Just because I refuse to spend $100 on a pair of designer jeans, shell out a fortune for this seasons “it” bag, or throw down $50 for a designer tee does not qualify someone as cheap.  Now don’t get me wrong, I love designer denim, lust after “it” bags and can’t live without James Perse, but the difference is I find other ways of getting it (or very close versions of it) without spending my entire paycheck.

As a style coordinator for Maxx New York,  I’m privileged to work and collaborate with incredible stylists, editors, and designers on a regular basis.  My job requires me to scope out the latest trends, convey that style, and ultimately provide an informative and accessible source of fashion guidance for every woman.

However, in my spare time, I’m always on the lookout for the latest fashion trends, the best bargains and that ever-illusive Saks/Barney’s employee discounts for those once-in-a-blue moon, purely selfish and unreasonable indulgences that you just can’t live without!  And hence, CheapChica was born…to help give new meaning to the word cheap and of course, to help you look fabulous within the framework of your own figure, budget, and lifestyle.

Enjoy!!
