I know you might not be ready to see yourself in a swimsuit, but Memorial Day will be here before you know it and Forever 21 has just launched their first ever swimwear collection!
They have a variety of bikinis and even a few monokinis…which I’m not a huge fan of. I hate regular bikini tan lines, so I can’t even imagine having to deal with the tan lines from those things!
They also have prints galore (be sure to check out the neon splatter style!) so no matter what your taste, I’m sure they’ll have something that’s to your liking.
And since this is F21 we’re talking about, the suits retail from $12.80 for separates to $22.80 for a monokini. At that price, I’ll be curious to check out the quality and the elasticity…a dead giveaway of a cheap swimsuit! I’m quite partial to suits from Target, Old Navy, and H&M but another budget swimwear line is always a welcome addition for a bikini junkie like me!

If you’re having trouble picking an outfit for Valentine’s Day, get inspired by the color of the Holiday and go for a rich shade of fuchsia or red! I’m sure your date would love to see you all dolled up in any of these sweet dresses and since they’re all under $50, you could even spring for some sexy shoes to spice up your outfit!!

Gwen Stefani is a true wonderwoman! Not only does she have a gorgeous husband, adorable tots, an amazing voice and off the charts personal style, but she also happens to be at the helm of one of my favorite brands, L.A.M.B.
Their clothing collection is always inspiring, but lately it’s been their shoes and handbags that have me all worked up. I love all of the funky details, the rock and roll feel, and the fact that Gwen sure does know how to design a heel…4″ and higher on all of her styles!
Forever 21 $28.80
Unfortunately, I can’t usually spend $350 for a pair of her sky-high stilettos so when I saw these marked down to $180.23, I lingered my mouse over the “add to cart” button and then I snapped back to reality! I can’t afford to spend that kind of money right now, so I quickly talked myself down from my purchase high.
The real reason I wanted these shoes was for the striking “black and tan” (not the beer!) combo…and after some on-line browsing, I was able to produce a very L.A.M.B. inspired shoe from Forever 21 that had a similar woven quality along with an ankle strap. Thankfully, the F21 versions were more along the CheapChica price range…only $28.80!
Really? That’s what I got all excited about…
The new Shibuya Mon Amour collection (not that 8 T-shirts constitutes a collection, but…) at Forever 21 consists of cute-ish animal prints on your basic T-shirt. The shirts were designed by LA shop owner Jeanie Lee who owns a very over-priced and non CheapChica-y store called Satine. Considering the average price point in her store is somewhere around $250, I’m quite surprised that Forever choose her for the collaboration…but thank goodness the prices are more Forever 21 than Satine. The shirts retails from $12-$14.50.
I think they’re cute, but do we really need another T-shirt line???
Not that you need more reasons to love Forever 21…
but what I love most about them is that they cover all their bases. Some stores are a little too heavy on the “going out” clothes, but whenever I walk into F21, I always take notice of how well each one of their “lifestyle” sections is stocked. They strike a nice balance between work and play clothes and for someone like me, who has a tendency to overshop for dressier items, this really helps.
Lately, I’ve really made an effort to even out my purchases so that if I buy one casual dress, I have to buy one dress that I can wear to work….and so forth. And while that might sound expensive, with all of these adorable options priced under $30 it makes shopping a whole lot easier and more affordable!
