I know it feels entirely too early to start thinking about Valentine’s Day, but it is right around the corner! This one-shoulder dress from the Target Go Collection would be just perfect for a romantic date with that special someone or a super-cute dress option if you’re having a girls night out instead! Update: I know some of you were getting error messages when trying to sign up but I’ve spoken to the IT person at Savvy and they said they are in the process of fixing the error message, but they’ve assured me that they are getting your name/email addresses from the form. Sorry for the technical difficulties!
When I lived in New York, I couldn’t walk down the street without seeing a sign for a sample sale, but since moving to Philadelphia, I’ve been feeling pretty left out of the sample sale scene. I really miss scoring 70% off designers I could never even imagine buying at retail and something about hunting through all that merchandise for just the right item feels oh-so invigorating!!
So you can only imagine how excited I was when I came across TheSavvy.com. It’s a website dedicated to online samples sales and they’ve hosted some of the hottest designers like MaxMara, Sissi Rossi, Rebecca Taylor and Rachel Roy. All you have to do is sign up on their site and then log into your account on the day of the sample sale. Each sale usually lasts 36 hours and once you’re on their site, it’s just like regular old, online shopping…except that you’re getting access to wholesale and even below wholesale prices!
Up next on the site is Bulga on February 4th…so be sure to mark your calenders if you’re in the market for an amazing deal on a new handbag!! And after a little grovelling, I was able to get yall $10 off your next Savvy purchase with promocode CHICAS2434. Happy Shopping!!
Custom pick your own 2 letters and they’ll laser-cut them out of acrylic for a very sharp and sleek look! And since you get both Black and White versions in each set, there’s no need to stress about which one you’ll like better or the price…the set is only $36.

Not that you need more reasons to love Forever 21…
but what I love most about them is that they cover all their bases. Some stores are a little too heavy on the “going out” clothes, but whenever I walk into F21, I always take notice of how well each one of their “lifestyle” sections is stocked. They strike a nice balance between work and play clothes and for someone like me, who has a tendency to overshop for dressier items, this really helps.
Lately, I’ve really made an effort to even out my purchases so that if I buy one casual dress, I have to buy one dress that I can wear to work….and so forth. And while that might sound expensive, with all of these adorable options priced under $30 it makes shopping a whole lot easier and more affordable!
I’m not usually a fan of Orla Kiely… clothes or handbags for that matter. Something about wearing those prints on a bag or a dress feel a little too kitschy for me and they’re pretty pricey so I tend to avoid even looking at her stuff.
Well, Target has found a genius use for all her retro and vintage inspired prints…housewares! When cute pears, dainty dots and geometric flowers end up on an assortment of dishware, glassware, serving ware and on a slew of organizational items, count me in!
I’m not sure what the price points are yet, but you can usually count on Target for pretty inexpensive kitchen items. Look for the collection in stores the first week of February! Kitchen makeover anyone??
I rarely buy a black pair of shoes. Sure I have the standard issue black pump (if you consider 4″ patent Sigerson Morrisons standard) and a pair of black “shoeties”, but my eye always always wanders towards color and texture when it comes to shoes…not to mention, I always like wearing the unexpected when it comes to footwear.
A few weeks ago, a pair of graphic black and white McQueen heels totally caught my eye and I’ve been obsessed ever since. I thought of all the items in my closet…skirts, dresses, jeans, even the dreaded black pant…that would greatly benefit from this shoe. So when I found this pair I clicked “add to cart” faster than you can say yes, please ….these are black, white, delicious and only $79.95 at Bakers.
And while I might have to hold off on wearing them for a few more months, these are totally worth waiting for!
They have that perfect vintage feel to them, yet they still manage to look modern thanks to the stitching on the top of the foot and the metallic pleather… and I’m loving the 4.25″ stacked wooden heel! And while I can’t promise that they’ll actually be comfortable, the wide heel will hopefully help ease some of your foot pain. =)
Wear these with a colorful pair of tights and a cute mini and you’re good to go…or if it’s too cold for skirts (like it is here in Philly) you won’t lose any points in the style department if you choose to pair them with a basic pair of skinny jeans instead!
I happen to love these taupe colored ones, because they will work with EVEYRTHING, but these babies only cost $14.70 so feel free to buy them in every color…they also come in Black, Brown and Tan!
